Spires at Truro

Spires Restaurant at Truro College offers fine dining at truly remarkable prices. From our newly designed, purpose-built kitchens, we serve exquisite dishes using mindfully sourced, local ingredients from Cornwall and the South West. And the most surprising thing? It’s run entirely by our Professional Cookery and Professional Food and Beverage students, who gain valuable experience whilst working towards their qualifications. Spires has been classified as highly recommended and awarded the AA College Rosette, proving the hard work of the students and staff shines through in their service and learning environment.

Spires Restaurant is located in the Allen Building of Truro College with its own dedicated car park. We’re open for bookings from 12pm to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, and on Tuesday evenings from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Additionally, Spires can cater for functions of up to 50 people, making it a great choice for lunches or large celebrations. We also host Christmas Party evenings, and special themed evenings throughout the year, as well as ever-popular Jazz Evenings. If you'd like to privately hire Spires for your function, in which we cater to your needs, please get in touch and we will do our best to suit your requirements. The restaurant is fully licensed and serves a selection of fine wines, craft beers, spirits and soft drinks.

Christmas is just around the corner and our Christmas menus are now available. Spires is the perfect venue for having a Christmas lunch or evening meal with family, or for your work Christmas party, book now to avoid disappointment.

Spicy roast pumpkin and sweet potato soup.
Smoked mackerel tian with pickled cucumber and crostini.
Mozzarella with broad beans, mint, lemon, olive oil and pea shoots.

Slow roasted belly of pork on puy lentil and chorizo broth with curly kale.
Battered pollock with hand-cooked chips, crushed peas, pea puree and deconstructed tartar sauce.

  • Lunchtime menu: £7.50 for two courses, £9.50 for three courses.
  • Tuesday evening menu: £9.50 for two courses, £11.50 for three courses.
